Working with microclimates is a great way to reduce risks for piglets in free farrowing.

A microclimate keeps your piglets warm, but an enclosed one also allows you to reduce the overall room temperature for sows. As piglets prefer warmth, they will move to the enclosed microclimate space which keeps them save from being crushed.
