No more peaks in feed production thanks to Bin Connect
The challenge
Our distributor Morepig approached us with a cooperative on an island group near Portugal, facing a challenge in their feed production. Customers often ordered too late, resulting in production peaks around weekends or holidays. In addition to the need for emergency solutions for these customers, it also led to huge differences in production levels per day. The lack of insight into the stock levels of their customers' silos meant they had no control over this situation. It became clear that a solution was needed to address these challenges and optimize the production process.

Making it happen
In collaboration with Cooperl, they implemented Bin Connect sensors. These sensors provide real-time monitoring of silo stock levels, easily accessible via an app or a user-friendly dashboard on the computer. Bin Connect can be installed and configured in 20 minutes, making it easy to install even on existing silos.
Execution
In 2 days, we placed the sensors at various locations on different farms, including cow, chicken, and pig farms, mainly to test connectivity and introduce the company to the possibilities of the online dashboard. In the first two months thereafter, we provided extensive support to the customer. The project started with a needs analysis: what should success look like and how do we measure it? Online meetings were held to present the product, answer questions, and plan the implementation. During these discussions, we worked through a series of checkpoints so that the customer knows everything about the product, installation, and how to maximize its potential. We provided technical support and answered questions. All alerts and settings were jointly configured and tested.
Results to be proud of
Although we are still in the testing phase, the customer is already proud of the progress they have made. They want to expand the test with a larger number of sensors to see an even better impact on their production. This is a clear sign of the success and acceptance of the solution. It demonstrates that the implementation of Bin Connect has had a significant impact, and the customer is satisfied with the result. We will continue the collaboration with the customer to further optimize their production process.
